The 5th China International Forum on Micro-Nano Technology and Innovative Development of Composite Materials was held in Zhengzhou from October 25th to 27th.
The forum was jointly organized by the Xi’an Nanotechnology Society, Fanrui Composite Materials Research Institute, and Fanrui Cloud Intelligence Technology (Zhengzhou) Co., Ltd., and co-hosted by higher education institutions and research organizations including Northwestern Polytechnical University, Chang’an University, and the Carbon-Based Composite Materials Research Institute of the Henan Academy of Sciences. The event brought together over 500 renowned experts, scholars, and researchers from both China and abroad to exchange the latest academic advances and innovative achievements in the fields of micro-nano technology and composite materials.
On the morning of October 26, the opening ceremony featured speeches by Academician FENG Zhihai, Researcher at the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation and member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Professor YANG Heqing, Vice President of the Xi’an Nanotechnology Society; and Mr. ZHANG Xiaomu, Member of the Party Leadership Group of the Zhengzhou Municipal Government.
The forum also included plenary presentations by Academician MA Yuqiang, Professor at Nanjing University and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Academician LI Quan, Professor at Southeast University and member of both the European Academy of Sciences and Arts and the European Academy of Sciences.
In the afternoon of October 26th, our School hosted a specialized session on cement-based composite materials, inviting experts from Chang’an University, Shaanxi University of Science and Technology, Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology, Henan Zhonggong Design & Research Institute Group Co., Ltd., and Zhengzhou Aviation Industry Management College to deliver presentations.
Faculty members from our School, including LI Hui, SUN Guodong, XIE Jing, and GUO Haoyan, along with a number of graduate students, actively participated in the forum. They shared the School’s latest academic achievements and research progress in the field of micro-nano and composite materials.

After the conclusion of the conference, LI Hui, SUN Guodong, XIE Jing, and others visited the Carbon-Based Composite Materials Research Institute of the Henan Academy of Sciences and the Fanrui Composite Materials Research Institute for observation and learning. They engaged in in-depth exchanges with experts and scholars in the field of composite materials from relevant universities and research institutions.

Through face-to-face exchanges with renowned experts and scholars from both China and abroad, the School’s research team demonstrated its scientific research capabilities and expanded its international academic influence. The School will continue to uphold innovation-driven development, and further advance fundamental and applied research in cement-based materials and composite materials for use in key sectors such as transportation, civil engineering and construction, and aerospace. These efforts aim to contribute to the University’s goal of achieving "Double First-Class" initiative development.
