Chemistry and Polymer Materials Laboratory is a comprehensive laboratory established in 2009 for the research direction of polymer materials and engineering.
There are five full-time and part-time teachers in the laboratory, all of whom have doctoral degrees, including one professor, three associate professors, one engineer and four overseas students. The laboratory has been well established partnership with the Leibniz Polymer Research Institute in Dresden, Germany, Albert University of Canada,Auckland University of New Zealand, Institute of Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian Institute of Chemistry of Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Science and Technology, Sichuan University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Northwest University of Technology, Northwest University and other domestic and foreign universities.
The laboratory is responsible for the teaching of chemistry courses for polymer specialty and other undergraduate specialties in our college. At the same time, it also undertakes part of the teaching and scientific research work for the cultivation of master's degree in material science. The laboratory has such instruments and equipment as element analyzer, dynamic mechanical analyzer, surface tension/contact angletester, physical adsorbent, Zeta potential and particle size analyzer, twin screw extruder and so on, which provide relatively perfect experimental equipment and technical support for teaching andscientific research.
