The technology and performance laboratory of traffic pavement materials includes high performance asphalt chamber, high performance asphalt mixturechamber, traffic pavement maintenance material chamber, and traffic pavement recycling material chamber, physical and chemical analysischamber of traffic pavement materials, high performance cement chamber and high performance cement concrete chamber. The laboratory has a number of domestic first-class experimental facilities and monitoring system, which provides a solid foundation platform forpersonnel training and scientific research. Based in Northwest China and facing the whole country, the laboratory provides high-quality and efficient scientific and technological services for the designand construction of pavement materials.
At present, thereare five full-time and part-time staff in the laboratory, fourteachers with doctoral degree, including one professor, two associate professors and two engineers.
The main research directions of the laboratory are: long-term performance of bridge structure concrete; high performance concrete materials and technology research; bridge deck pavement materials and technology research; high performance asphalt mixture technology research; highper formance road recycled materials and technology research; highway maintenance and overhaul structure and theory.
The laboratory has always been focusing on scientific and technological innovation,attaching great importance to the cultivation and comprehensive development of students' innovative ability. The laboratory innovative teaching has been carried out in combination with the College's "Top Innovative Talents Training Project" and thenational "College Students' Innovative Entrepreneurship Training Project". Students' basic theoretical knowledge and basic skills have been continuously improved, and their innovative consciousness,practical ability and comprehensive ability have been significantly enhanced. In the "Challenge Cup" and other disciplines competitions and skills competitions of Shaanxi Province and Chang'anUniversity, they have won more than 30 awards.
The laboratory continuously strengthens the construction of large-scale scientific research instrument platform, establishes and perfects various rules and regulations, forms a public supporting environment for scientific research with comprehensive subject coverage and leading technology level, and provides the most powerful guarantee for the scientific research and teaching of the college.
