The Material Analysis and Testing Center was established in 2008. It is alarge-scale instrument sharing platform for the whole school and thesociety. It is also a teaching and Research Center for modern analysis and testing technology and instrument function development, utilizing the construction funds of 211 Project and 985 Project Advantage Discipline Innovation Platform.
The Material Analysis and Testing Center consists of seven laboratories, including Microstructure Analysis Room, Thermal Analysis Room and Spectrum Analysis Room. It has field emission scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffractometer, atomic force microscope, dynamic thermo mechanical analyzer, infrared spectrometer, thermal analyzer, fluorescence spectrometer, specific surface area and porosity analyzer. Ultraviolet-visible near infrared spectrophotometer, high temperature metallographic microscope, MTS electro-hydraulic servofatigue testing machine and other large-scale precision instruments and equipment, with a total value of more than 20 million RMB, support the development of material chemical composition analysis, microstructural morphology analysis, material micro-area composition, polycrystalline phase analysis, material mechanical properties and physical properties. The Material Analysis and Testing Center undertakes the experimental teaching tasks of materials testing technology, materials science and basic courses for nearly 300 undergraduates each year. At the same time, it realizes the overall opening up and provides a platform for the analysis and testing projects of the whole university and other schools, scientific research institutions and enterprises and institutions.
The MaterialAnalysis and Testing Center has a technical team with high professional level. There are 8 full-time and part-time teachers,including 1 professor, 4 associate professors, 2 lecturers, 1engineer and 7 teachers with doctoral degree. Under the guidance of the College Laboratory Construction and Management Committee, the center implements the management mechanism of director responsibility system, staff post responsibility system and personnel regular assessment. It unifies the planning of laboratory construction, allocates experimental instruments, supervises laboratory teaching, scientific research and external services, and strengthens the standardized management of the center.
The laboratory hasestablished an online experimental management platform to realize online instrument information preview, experimental reservation, instrument use training, data query and online management, etc. Usersi nside and outside the school can directly make online consultation booking.
