Achievements:

Dr.Zhang mainly focuses on the research of surface strengthening formetal alloys including formation and characterization of thestrengthen layers/coatings on nonferrous metals (titanium alloys,aluminium alloy, magnesium alloy, etc.), formation andcharacterization of new materials/coatings for solid oxide fuelcells applications. He has published more than 30 academic papers,applied 5 patents and presided over 10 research projects includingthe National Natural Science Foundation of China.
