Advanced Transportation Pavement Functional Materials
We mainly focus on the environment-friendly, special conditions, traffic pavement functional materials based on safety performance and improvement of pavement functional materials.
While road traffic brings convenience to people, it also produces many problems affecting human settlements. For example, road noise is becoming increasingly prominent, urban groundwater supply is insufficient and surface floods are flooding, urban heat island effect is aggravated, ice and snow weather pavement ice driving, slipping and salt snow removal endanger the environment, urban automobile exhaust pollution is serious, which is contrary to the direction of social development such as energy conservation and environmental protection. In order to improve the urban function and living environment, the pavement should not only have the traditional functions of bearing, stabilization, smoothness, durability and comfort, but also have the environmental protection functions of reducing noise, alleviating heat island effect, melting ice and snow, decomposing exhaust gas and so on. Traditional road surface can not meet the requirements of traffic and environmental protection at the same time, so it is necessary to innovate the pavement material and structure.
To this end, environmental protection pavement materials and technology research and development were carried out, and the "11th Five-Year Plan" National Science and technology support plan and related research projects were hosted, forming a technical system of environmental protection pavement, including permeable pavement, low noise pavement, low heat absorption pavement, snow-melting pavement and absorption and decomposition of tail gas pavement, etc., to promote industry technology.
A high viscous asphalt modifier with independent intellectual property rights in China was developed, and the relationship model between meso-void characteristics of permeable asphalt pavement material and macro-material composition and performance was established. The integrated design method of permeable asphalt pavement material and structure was put forward. It broke the technological monopoly of high-viscosity asphalt modified materials abroad and presided over the compilation of the national technical standards for construction and maintenance of permeable asphalt pavement.
