Prof. Dr. Xiao received his PhD degree in Road and Railway Engineering, at Delft University of Technology, with the supervisor of Prof. A.A.A. Molenaar. He is a full time Professor from School of Materials Science and Engineering in Chang’an University. He has been awarded as Fok Ying Tung Outstanding Young Teacher by the Ministry of Education of China in 2018. His research interests include eco-efficient pavement materials and construction materials recycling. He is now serving as Junior Editorial Board Members for Journal of Infrastructure Preservation and Resilience, Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering (English Edition) and other six international journals. He has published more than 100 peer-reviewed journal papers, including 3 highly cited papers. Seven papers have been selected for the major scientific and technological innovation database of transportation. He has 17 authorized invention patents and won the first prize of the Technological Invention Award of the Chemical Industry Society of China in 2023. |

He has been awarded as Fok Ying Tung Outstanding Young Teacher by the Ministry of Education of China in 2018; He received the title of CHUTIAN Scholar in material science and engineering from Hubei provincial department of education in 2014. He has founded by 4 National Natural Science Foundation projects, and 16 provincial level research projects. He has 17 authorized invention patents and won the first prize of the Technological Invention Award of the Chemical Industry Society of China (2023).
