The 2nd metallographic skills competition of Chang'an University came to a successful conclusion

On the morning of July 3, 2022, with the strong support of the Academic Affairs Office of the University, Xi'an Dican Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (general agent of Leica northwest), Wuyi Hengyu Instrument Co., Ltd. and other units, the Leica Hengyu Cup Chang'an University second undergraduate metallographic skills competition hosted by the School of materials and undertaken by the material processing laboratory of the school of materials was successfully held.

This competition is open to all undergraduates in the University. A total of 68 students have obtained the preliminary examination qualification. After the initial theoretical examination screening, the top 30 students finally participated in this metallographic skills competition. The competition will be held with full reference to the national standards. There are inspection and recording office, grinding room, polishing room, metallographic observation room, confidentiality room and scoring room to score the operation process, macro quality and metallographic structure respectively, ensuring the standardization and fairness of the competition.

Through this competition, a total of 5 first prize winners, 10 second prize winners and 15 third prize winners were selected, and the top 5 students were finally determined to be shortlisted for the provincial competition. Wang Hongbo, the person in charge of the competition, announced the list of winners. Mr. Han Gang, the deputy dean of the academic affairs office, Mr. Xu yiku, the Deputy Secretary of the academic affairs office, Mr. Jia Kan, the Deputy Dean, and Mr. Zhang Xiang, a senior metallographic teacher, presented the award certificates and prizes to the winning students respectively.
