On September 6, 2019, the school of MSE successfully held the opening ceremony of freshmen in Weishui Campus Cultural Activity Center. The opening ceremony was attended by Gao Yanbei, Secretary of the Party Committee of school, and Jia Kan, Deputy Secretary and Vice President of the Party Committee, Yan Xiuping, Vice President Chen Yongnan, Teacher Representative, class directors of Class 2019, Counselors of all grades and all the freshmen of Class 2019.The ceremony is presided over by Jia Kan, deputy secretary and vice president of the Party Committee.
At the beginning of the meeting, the whole group sang the national anthem. Gao Yanbei, Secretary of the Party Committee, first delivered a speech. On behalf of the College, he warmly welcomed the new students and raised expectations for them. He called on them to love their country and school. He encouraged them to be positive and strive hard, and encouraged every student to strive to be a new person with ideals, abilities and responsibilities. The excellent speech of Secretary Gao encouraged the students.
Then, Vice President Chen Yongnan introduced the situation of the college, and introduced in detail the specialty setting, scientific research, personnel training, cultural and sports activities of the college. Professor Duan Li, the major direction of energy and electronic materials, sent good wishes to the freshmen as a teacher's representative. Then the representatives of the old students and the new students made speeches in turn, expressing their sincere love and longing for University life. After that, the conference entered the stage of entrance education.
After the meeting, the teachers took the initiative to communicate with the new students and gave serious answers to the questions raised by the students.
